MWD school first graders in Mrs. Bridget Jelovcic’s class learned about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and how he earned the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.

As a family culminated activity, each students’ parent(s) wrote qualities their child exhibits that are similar to Dr. King on the back of a medal they decorated. The students were then surprised with the medal and presented it in front of the class.
