All students at DAV school attended an inauguration assembly to watch the swearing in of Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States. They also witnessed Kamala Harris being sworn in as the 49th vice president becoming the country’s first female — and African American and South Asian descent — to hold this office.

During the assembly, school principal Ms. Rachel Gross talked about the American tradition of the peaceful transfer of power and how every president takes the very same oath. In addition, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lorna R. Lewis also shared photos of her own personal experiences attending both the 2009 and 2013 inaugurations.

At the end of the assembly, all students took a pledge to be their best as they continue to learn and grow at DAV.
