The district has brought K-12 Learning Experience to its schools and community through a virtual presentation of Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect’s “Letters from Anne & Martin.” This production, led by The Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, honors both Black History Month and Women’s History Month by combining the iconic voices of Anne Frank and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Both Frank and Dr. King were born in 1929 yet represent drastically different times and cultures. The actors who portrayed these figures also delivered the important messages of their hopes and plans for a peaceful and unified world.

In addition to this, Davison Avenue Intermediate School hosted a virtual assembly, where author Nancy Churnin shared her message of hope and love through her book, “Martin and Anne: The Kindred Spirits of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Anne Frank.” The assembly was part of the district’s K-12 immersive cultural learning experience.
