MWD school kindergartners in Mrs. Alina Janosel’s and Mrs. Liz Paolillo’s class listened to a thematic unit on mittens. The stories that were included in the lesson were Jan Brett’s “The Mitten” and Steven Kellogg’s “The Missing Mitten Mystery.”

As part of the activity, they created a step lesson to craft a clothesline with hanging mittens. The students used string, sticks, playdoh and paper mittens to create the scene.
