Jordan Tyson, Malverne Class of 2015, has landed a lead role in an off-broadway show, playing the role Sweetee in the musical Sweetee. She is currently a sophomore at Marymount College in Manhattan. While at Malverne, she played a “spoon” in Beauty and the Beast, “Carla” in In the Heights, “Janet” in Drowsy Chaperone, and “Princess Fiona” in Shrek the Musical. In the attached article, she spoke of her experience in the MHS production of In the Heights with the following quote: “After that experience, I was so in awe of how this one piece of work could bring people together like a family.”
