Honoring Black History Month

As part of its Black History Month Celebration, students at MWD and Davison were treated to an African rhythm tap performance by Feraba. Feraba is an award-winning multicultural and multiethnic performance group that fuses the traditional sounds and movements of West Africa with the only true American dance form, tap. Their mission is to inform, educate and entertain through the universal language of rhythm, promoting the ideal of friendship, tolerance and cultural understanding among people of all nations. The artists also brought connections to curricular studies, such as music, history, geography and cultural awareness, into the presentation.
