Mathematical Perfection

Continental Math is a national competition in which third- through fifth-graders from Davison Avenue participated. With three meets per year, the students have to use intensive problem solving skills to answer six total questions per 30-minute meet. Pictured are the third-grade winners (L-R) Tyler Barbot (2nd place), Owen Brennan (1st place) and Lorenzo Maione (2nd place). They compete under the direction of math teacher, Barbara Allaire. The fifth-grade team also did well in the national competitions, with a national winner who scored a perfect 6 out of 6 in five of the meets.
