Superintendent Visits Special Forces

A select group of fifth-graders at Davison Avenue Iare chosen each year to head up the school’s Special Forces. These school leaders, who work under the direction of social worker Eileen Duffy, organize a host of community service and civic activities, including Red Ribbon Week. Most recently, the group invited Superintendent of Schools Dr. James Hunderfund to visit and offered thoughtful suggestions for improving their school. In addition, they asked Dr. Hunderfund various questions on his career and how he became a superintendent.
