Sixth-grade students at Howard T. Herber Middle School were treated to a
special Skype session with New York Times best selling author, Lynda
Mullaly Hunt. As the writer of Fish in A Tree, which the students read
over the summer, they were excited to "meet" her. Dressed in their Fish
in A Tree-themed Project Dream shirts, the students were treated to Ms.
Hunt's stories about finding her own grit, writing books and following
her dreams.
"Think long term" was her overall message, telling the
students how important it is to keep their eye on the prize. Howard T.
Herber Middle School has been in contact with Ms. Hunt through social
media and hopes to continue the conversation throughout the school year.
