As a student in the science research program, Nick St. John participated in the New York State Science and Engineering in March. The competition brought more than 200 students from Long Island and beyond to present their projects. Nick’s research has been focused on sonoluminescence, a phenomenon whereby sound is used to generate light. The judges were impressed by his passion and superior knowledge of advanced physics and awarded him second place at the fair.
