Video Challenge Winner

James Phillips, a ninth-grade student at Malverne High School, placed first in New York State for his video submission to the Collaborative Summer Library Program’s national 2014 Teen Video Challenge. The video, titled “Reading Makes Your Imagination Shine,” came in first in the state among more than 20 submissions. He is also a part of the school’s Media Club. For his winning submission, James received $275 and the school library received $125. His videos, including the winning submission, can be viewed on his YouTube channel by searching “ClassicalDayDreamer.”
