On April 9th, the Malverne SEPTA hosted a unique event during their scheduled meeting. Detective John Venture and Detective Denis Browne of the Nassau County Police Department held a sign up session for  R.E.A.C.H. The R.E.A.C.H. program which stands for "Return Every Adult and Child Home" is a safety initiative that keeps the photographs, contact information, medical background, and other pertinent details of registrants diagnosed with a cognitive disorder. If someone registered on the database gets reported as missing, the Nassau County Police Department can instantly send out all information to every precinct, squad, and patrol car. Malverne parents had the opportunity to bring their children to HTH to have their photo taken by the detectives and to register for the program. "I'm glad we were able to provide the registration right here in Malverne", said Meredyth Martini, Director of Special Education. "But, may our families never need to call upon their services".
