Marguerite Izzo, a fifth-grade teacher at Davison Avenue Intermediate School , is one of five in the nation who has been selected for induction into the National Teachers Hall of Fame. As an annual award given to those with more than 20 years of experience, she will participate in webinars, workshops and a speaker’s bureau, as well as represent and market the NTHF through public appearances and educational endeavors. The mission of the NTHF is to recognize and honor exceptional career teachers, encourage excellence in teaching, and preserve the rich heritage of the teaching profession in the United States. Mrs. Izzo’s announcement came as a surprise to her and the entire Davison school as they attended a Relay for Life pep rally on March 28.
